  • 📚Book Review📚 ✨A Letter from Nana Rose by Kristen Harper ✨Genre: Women’s Fiction, Contemporary, Romance ✨Publisher: Bookouture ✨Released: 25th of October 2021 ✨NetGalley ARC: Thank you to all for my advanced readers copy, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily ✨“Three sisters…one summer…one family secret…” ✨As a psychological thriller and crime junkie kind of girl, it is not very often I deviate away from those genres and read this type of book. Maybe I am becoming a big softie in my old age, as I am starting to find myself gravitating towards these stories more to mix it up a bit. ✨In the case of A Letter from Nana Rose, I was drawn to this book and knew that I just had to read it and my instincts were right! I absolutely adored this book and I am so glad I read it and to have been introduced to Kristin Harper’s work. It is also not very often that a book really pulls on my heartstrings and makes me shed a few tears, but again I found myself in exactly this position reaching for the tissues. ✨The setting in Dune Island Massachusetts is magical and had me fully immersed whilst my hometown was in another lengthy lockdown. It really was the perfect escape and I was able to imagine myself there, not wanting to tear myself away. The sisters are real and authentic, each with their own set of challenges and I loved Nana Rose and reading her story. ✨Beautifully written, A Letter from Nana Rose is an utterly gorgeous tale that will most definitely be part of my best reads for 2021.   • 📚Book Review📚 ✨The Parents by Claire Seeber ✨Released: 25th of October 2021 ✨Publisher: Bookouture ✨Genre: Psychological Suspense 
✨ARC: My thanks to all for my advanced copy of this book, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily ✨“They seem too perfect to be true…They are…” ✨Families that are full of secrets, lies and deception are at the forefront of this tale. Their seemingly perfect lives are not as they seem and it is definitely a what is portrayed on the outside is so different to the going ons inside, kind of read. Set in Kent and around an under 14’s football team, what starts off as a friendly bunch of people, quickly turns sinister when their secrets are exposed via an anonymous source. ✨There are a few characters to keep track of, which does make it hard to connect with them all on a deeper level, but it’s two main leads, where the tale is told from each of their points of view, make up for this. A donor who helps to make their dreams come true, but is not who he appears to be… ✨This compelling tale tests your morals and really makes you think what would you do if you found yourself in the same situation. It is full of so much tension and suspense and had me completely engrossed and invested in the story and each of the characters, who all play out their roles very well. ✨I found the writing to be sharp, the pace is steady and overall such a captivating read all round. We follow the story of the wife as she slowly comes to the realisation that not only is her husband not where she thought he was, but it appears that he is not even who she thought he was… ✨The Perfect Family Man is a slow burning suspenseful tale full of secrets, lies and shocking revelations. It was easy to get caught up in the drama of it all and DeLuca does a great job of creating a tense atmosphere throughout. I enjoyed the then and now format, which gives the reader in-depth insight into its lead protagonist. It wasn’t clear cut to me as to where it was heading and with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes and on the edge of your seat, I was always way off on how I thought it was going to unfold. ✨ARC: My thanks to all for my advanced copy of this book, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily ✨The Perfect Daughter… Or the perfect liar”… ✨After a lifetime of living life for the benefit of her mum, Jess finally meets a man who not only seems to truly care about her for who she is, but is encouraging her to follow her own hopes and dreams and live her life for herself. But what does it mean for her when he is suddenly gone and not only does she now have to navigate without him, but even worse it’s seems the police think she has something to do with his disappearance. ✨The Perfect Daughter is a compelling read full of manipulation, control and a complex relationship between mother and daughter and I was all there for it! Stone entices the reader straight off the bat with an opening chapter that had me instantly hooked and from there each chapter left me wanting more! The deeper you get into it the story the more toxic it becomes and with its sinister undertones simmering in the background, its claustrophobic vibe throughout as well as an unreliable narrator, makes for a thrilling read. I throughly enjoyed this tale and outcome which left me feeling very satisfied. ✨Alex Stone is a new author to me and one I am so glad to have been introduced to.
