Cover Reveal: His Other Woman #CoverReveal #HisOtherWoman #Contemporary @LouiseVoss1 @Bookouture #onceuponatimebookblog

Today I am thrilled to be taking part in the cover reveal for Louise Voss’ upcoming contemporary fiction, His Other Woman. This is due for release on the 2nd of July, published by Bookouture.

I hate to admit that I haven\’t had the pleasure of reading one of Louise Voss’ before, but this will definitely be changing with this book. Before I get to the reveal, check out what the book is about.

Book Blurb

When my husband vanished, I could never have imagined that finding him again would be worse than losing him…

Not long before our daughter’s wedding, my husband plans a trip away. I encourage him to go: I know he needs a break. I drive him to the airport, wrap my arms around him and kiss him goodbye, telling him I’ll see him soon.

Then he vanishes. And no one believes me when I say he would never have left us, not so cruelly, leaving our messages unread and our calls ignored.

I spend weeks in our empty house, surrounded by pictures of our family, desperately searching for answers. I go shopping with my daughter for her wedding dress, hoping beyond hope that he will come home in time to walk her down the aisle.

But when we find him, he doesn’t remember us – and he has done something I may never be able to forgive. I just want my husband back… but is he still the man I married?

From the bestselling author Louise Voss comes an unputdownable story about family and forgiveness, that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. Perfect for fans of Nicole Trope, Kerry Fisher and The Silent Daughter.

Sounds so good. I’m really looking forward to reading this book.

Ok, you have waited long enough so lets get on with the cover reveal.

Here we go…..

Close My Eyes by Beverley Harvey #BookReview #CloseMyEyes #PsychologicalSuspense #NetGalley @BevHarvey_ @Bookouture #onceuponatimebookblog

Today I am reviewing Close My Eyes by Beverley Harvey. This was released on the 23rd of March published by Bookouture.

Book Blurb

How did I forget the worst thing that’s ever happened to me? And how do I try and put it right?

The first time I remembered, I thought I was dying. I couldn’t breathe – something was crushing my chest – all I could see was darkness. A terrible fear, pulling me under. And all because of a glimpse of a face I hadn’t seen in years.

Since then I’ve realised: this is a memory of an attack. Something vicious happened to me years ago – a night that changed my life, without me even knowing. My family and friends don’t believe me – they say I’m imagining things, but I know I’m right. What I don’t know is who was responsible. And I won’t stop until I find out.

Wherever the truth leads me. Whatever betrayals are uncovered. Whatever the risk.

A heart-stopping psychological suspense novel that asks: who do you trust the most? Your friends? Your family? Or your own mind? Fans of T.M. Logan, Claire McGowan and Lisa Jewell will be gripped by Close My Eyes.

Close My Eyes, the latest offering by Beverley Harvey, is one twisty tale that I could not get enough of! It is definitely just a one more chapter kind of read and like me, you may just find yourself losing time until there are no more chapters left to be read! I do love it when this happens.

Beverley Harvey has created a thrilling and thought provoking tale that will have you hooked right from the prologue. I found it a fascinating look into the mind and how a chance sighting of someone can trigger repressed memories and throw a life into such turmoil. It delves into PTSD, abuse and rape to name just a few, which may be a trigger for some readers, but they have been dealt with sensitively.

The characters have been well crafted, are believable and had me invested in them. I enjoyed the interchanging chapters between Gemma and Beth and the reader is given a great insight into each of their lives and struggles.

Close My Eyes definitely gets the heart pumping and is very addictive. A well plotted, written, dark and character driven story, this is one that is a must read for the psychological suspense fans out there.

Thank you to Beverley Harvey, Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Close My Eyes, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble if available. As I am from Australia, I am unable to add to Amazon UK, but will post to Waterstones & Foyles if also available.

Her Revenge by Emma Tallon #BookReview #HerRevenge #NewSeries #CrimeThriller #NetGalley @EmmaEsj @Bookouture #onceuponatimebookblog

Today I am reviewing Her Revenge by Emma Tallon. This was released on the 22nd of March, published by Bookouture.

Book Blurb

There’s a new girl in town and she has a score to settle.

Scarlet Drew isn’t to be messed with. As the daughter of a notorious London gangster, she’s got enough street smarts to take on the world. But when the most important person in Scarlet’s life is murdered in cold blood on the East End streets where she grew up, she can only think of one thing – revenge.

Scarlet’s aunt Lily is fierce, straight-talking and a force to be reckoned with. As head of the family firm and queen of the London underworld, she welcomes her niece into the business and swears to help her get revenge – after all, family comes first.

Scarlet soon discovers that the murder is just one part of a plot by a rival firm to take down the entire Drew empire. She stands shoulder to shoulder with her aunt, ready to fight back, but these new enemies are the most dangerous threat the Drew family has ever faced.

As everything they’ve built begins to crumble, Scarlet’s estranged cousin Ruby suddenly comes back into the firm, with a revelation that could tear the Drews apart once and for all. But can she be trusted? As Scarlet faces up to her enemy, one thing is for sure: family means everything to her and she will stop at nothing to protect it, even if it means putting her own life at risk.

Strong women, family dramas and nail-biting tension make Her Revenge a book not to be missed!

Last year Emma broke my heart with the ending of her amazing Tyler Family series and I didn’t think I would be able to recover. Ok. so I might be acting a bit melodramatic here but it is a fantastic series. (if you haven’t already, you need to check it out!) Anyway, I am pleased to say that she mended my heart and put it right back together with a brilliant start to a new series with Her Revenge.

Emma Tallon is one author that really does bring the gritty crime thriller genre to life so well and with each book you feel you are part of the action. Her Revenge is no exception. Right off the bat I was caught up and tangled in its web unable to tear myself away until that last page. Action packed and full of tension and suspense this is a first class read.

With a cast that consists of already memorable characters for me, I can’t wait to see how they develop over the course of the series. Fierce, feisty and oh so mighty, these women are bad ass all the way and I loved them! Emma Tallon has done such a great job with their creation and has brought them to life beautifully.

Her Revenge is a super fast paced read that will have you flicking the pages long into the night. It is superbly written and I can’t wait to read more. It was a pleasure to read and review Her Revenge, which I highly recommend.

Thank you to Emma Tallon, Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Her Revenge, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble if available. The Secret Sister by M.M DeLuca #BookReview #TheSecretSister #SuspenseThriller #NetGalley @DeLucaMarjorie @canelo_co #onceuponatimebookblog

Today I am reviewing The Secret Sister by M.M. DeLuca. This was released on the 25th of March, published by Canelo.

Book Blurb

The truth always comes out…
I want to tell my husband, Guy, everything about my past. Honestly, I do. He’s been so wonderful, providing me with a life of comfort and love a world away from the dark life I had before.

He deserves the truth.

But if he finds out who I really am, the perfect life I’ve built will come crashing down around my ears. And that can’t happen. Not yet. Not until I reveal the truth about what happened to my little sister.

A completely addictive thriller that will keep you guessing into the early hours of the morning. Perfect for fans of The Step Daughter, Shalini Boland and K.L. Slater.

The Secret Sister is my first book from M.M. DeLuca and has been such a great introduction to her work for me. It is a suspense thriller that will consume you and keep you guessing right to the end.

At times this book is hard to read given its subject matter, which includes child and drug abuse and these may be a trigger for some readers. M.M DeLuca does a great job at handling these topics which she does sensitivity, but doesn’t sugarcoat over the seriousness of them.

The characters have been well developed, crafted and they play their parts well. The past and present structure gives the reader a great insight into their background and experiences and how that has shaped them.

The Secret Sister is a well written and gripping read that really pulls on the heartstrings. There were a number of times where I read this through tears and it really got under my skin. This is one book that will stay with me for a long time to come. I will definitely be reading more from M.M DeLuca in the future.

Thank you to M.M. DeLuca, Canelo and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of The Secret Sister, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Cover Reveal: Invisible Victim by Mel Sherratt #CoverReveal #InvisibleVictim #ComingSoon #PsychologicalThriller @writermels @Bookouture #onceuponatimebookblog

Today I am thrilled to be taking part in the cover reveal for Mel Sherratt\’s upcoming psychological thriller Invisible Victim. This is due for release on the 28th of June, published by Bookouture.

I hate to admit that I haven\’t had the pleasure of reading one of Mel Sherratt\’s book before, but this will definitely be changing with this book. Before I get to the reveal, check out what the book is about.

Book Blurb

‘Let me out! Please!’ I shouted, banging on the door. How had I got here? What day was it? I couldn’t remember anything. But I knew I had become the fifth woman to be abducted.

As my eyes adjust to the darkness, I’m filled with dread. Everything looks just like the others described: a small hole in the door, a mattress and a narrow window allowing only a small chink of light. The jewellery given to me by my loving husband has gone and I’m in someone else’s clothes.

Just days before, I had interviewed the third victim for the local paper. She couldn’t stop shaking. Her story was the same as those before her: an ordinary woman, locked away for ten days then released with no explanation, and nothing – nothing she could think of – to link her to the others. Throughout the ordeal, her abductor stayed eerily silent.

I tell myself I’ll be safe in ten days. But I can’t help thinking of the fourth victim who is still missing. And then I hear the voice coming through the door. “You said everything would be fine. But it wasn’t was it?” It is then that I realise. If I am to make it out alive, I need to revisit a dark secret of my own that I have spent a lifetime trying to forget.

An absolutely unputdownable psychological thriller with a truly brilliant twist, perfect for fans of Teresa Driscoll, T.M. Logan and C.L. Taylor.

Wow this sounds fantastic! Can\’t wait to read this one.

Ok, you have waited long enough so lets get on with the cover reveal.

Here we go…..

Looks amazing doesn\’t it? Invisible Victim is available to preorder now from the following retailers.
