Today I am taking part in the books on tour and reviewing The Dilemma by Julia Roberts, published by Bookouture.

BOOK DESCRIPTION

My child means everything to me. But saving his life means destroying my best friend’s family…

I didn’t plan to fall pregnant, but when I found out, I was overjoyed. Even though I’d be going it alone, I swore I’d give my baby everything they needed.

But I didn’t know who the man I met on that sweltering summer night, the father of my child, really was.

I decided to keep his secret to protect the innocent… but then my beautiful baby was born with a rare illness, desperately needing a transplant.

Now, as I gaze into my son’s wide and trusting eyes, I know the choice I have to make: for the sake of my precious little boy, I have to destroy my friend’s happiness.

But when the truth comes out, what if saving my baby means losing him forever?

An absolutely gripping and emotional read about the choices and sacrifices we make for those we love. Fans of Liane Moriarty, Amanda Prowse and Susan Lewis will love The Dilemma.

“How far would you go to save your child’s life…”

A very poignant tale, The Dilemma takes the reader on an emotive journey where love, friendship, lies, secrets and heartbreak are explored.

This story was so captivating, that I ended up reading it in one sitting. I really liked our main protagonist, who felt very real and who my heart went out to. The painful secret that has been kept from her, that puts an end to a longterm relationship with the man she loves, pulled on the heartstrings. But it is what follows on from that, that really makes an impact where the secret she has been hiding, not only threatens her new born sons life, but also the friendships that she holds so dear.

Beautifully written, The Dilemma is a must read. I do love Roberts style of story telling and how she pulls you into the story, completely invested in it and its characters. A real page turner from beginning to end, with a few surprises along the way, I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

Thank you to Julia Roberts, Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of The Dilemma, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
