Today I am reviewing The Three Loves of Sebastian Cooper by Zoe Folbigg, published by Boldwood Books.

BOOK DESCRIPTION

As friends and family gather for the funeral of charming and charismatic Seb Cooper, three women sit in the congregation, mourning his loss.

First there is Clair, Seb’s wife and partner of twenty years, and mother of his two children. Furious at Seb for dying and leaving their children without a father, Clair isn’t sure of her place, and has been left baffled and bemused by the conflicting stories of Seb’s last days.

Then there’s Desiree, the woman Seb left Clair for. Heartbroken, self-conscious, and wondering if she made a mistake coming today.

And the third and noisiest mourner of all is Noemie – Seb’s lover and the last woman to see him alive.

Three women who loved Seb in their own different ways.

Three women whose lives have now changed forever.

But only one woman knows what really happened at the end…and only one truly had his heart…

Bestseller Zoë Folbigg returns with a utterly compelling and page-turning tale of love, be

A tale of love, betrayal and family, The Three Loves of Sebastian Cooper is the first book I have read from Zoe Folbigg and it won’t be my last.

Brought together for the funeral of Sebastian Cooper (Seb), we are introduced to his three loves. Clair, ex wife and mother of his two children, Desiree, ex girlfriend and his current girlfriend Noemie.

Seb’s death is shrouded in a cloud of mystery, which definitely piqued my curiosity. Broken into three parts, the narrative alternates from present to past from each of the women’s point of view, detailing their relationship with Seb. Although I didn’t always agree with Seb’s actions, it was actually hard to dislike him. I also liked Clair and Desiree but loathed Noemie!

This is a very well written tale that did have me welling up at the end with real and believable charters that are all vividly brought to life. A very entertaining read from beginning to end, I throughly recommend checking it out and I look forward to reading more from the author.

Thank you to Zoe Folbigg, Boldwood Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of The Three Loves of Sebastian Cooper, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
