Today I am taking part in the books on tour and reviewing The Bridesmaids by Victoria Jenkins. This was released on the 23rd of May, published by Bookouture.

Holly is getting married, but not before a celebration weekend with her closest friends.

After a night of arguments, a body is found floating in the swimming pool of their secluded cottage. Holly must face up to the truth – one of her bridesmaids is a killer, but which one?

New beginnings. Old rivalries.

Best friends. Bad blood.

Five bridesmaids. One body.

Fans of The Girl on the TrainGone Girl and The Wife Between Us will love this pulse-racing psychological thriller. Once you start reading, you will not be able to stop!

“Six friends…A weekend away…A secret to kill for…”

For Holly, a weekend away for her bachelorette party with her bridesmaids, should be a celebration filled with laughter and fun. But with these women, years of secrets and lies rear their ugly head and after a night of heated arguments, it all ends in tragedy.

I love these types of stories involving a group of friends and all the drama that can come from that and boy, there is so much drama with this group of women!! I was rubbing my hands together with glee, sitting on the edge of my front row seat for all of the action. These woman are definitely something else!

The story is narrated from three of the women’s points of view, which I enjoyed. I can’t say I particularly warmed to any of them, especially the way they acted towards each other, which had me scratching my head as to how they have been friends for all these years. In saying that, this isn’t a bad thing as I do like the inclusion of unlikeable characters at times and these women have been created well in theses roles they play.

I always enjoy reading a book from Jenkins and you can always count on her to give you a gripping story. I have read a few books from her now and they have all been great, but for me, I think The Bridesmaids is her best work to date. A fast paced, highly addictive psychological thriller with wicked plot twists, this is one very entertaining read!

Thank you to Victoria Jenkins , Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of The Bridesmaid, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
