It’s been a minute since Lisa Sell’s last novel and as a fan of her work, I was thrilled when I was made aware of The Watcher and I couldn’t wait to dive in. Was it worth the wait? YES!! I loved this book!
A creepy and intense read, The Watcher just chilled me to the bone! The thought of someone watching your every move is just horrifyingly, but if I ever found myself in a similar situation, my voyeur may just die of boredom! 😂
The opening chapter is goosebump worthy and sets a sinister tone. The story delves into some hard hitting themes including miscarriage, fertility issues and mental illness which may be a trigger for some readers. The characters are interesting, some more intriguing than others, and each all play their roles well.
The short snappy chapters kept the story moving at a fast pace and it was so hard to put it down when the end of each chapter left me wanting more! The writing is on point and keeps you engaged from beginning to end.
Lisa Sell is definitely back and in fine form with this book. I highly recommend checking it out and I look forward to reading more from her.
