Today I am taking part in the books on tour and reviewing on it’s publication day 214 Palmer Street by Karen McQuestion, published by Bookouture.

A house with a secret. A woman with nothing to lose.

When Maggie sees the beautiful Venetian blinds moving in the Caldwells’ front window, she freezes. Her favorite neighbours Cady and Josh are away, so who is in their house?

The pretty young woman who answers the door tells a convincing story. She’s Sarah. The house-sitter. Just here for a month. An old friend of Cady’s who needed a place to stay. She’s pleasant and warm, and Maggie wanders back to her house thinking she might have made a new friend. Yet she can’t help but wonder why Cady never mentioned Sarah.

What Maggie doesn’t know is that on the other side of the door, Sarah is starting to panic. No one was meant to see her at 214 Palmer Street…

An unputdownable psychological thriller from number one bestseller Karen McQuestion, which will make you question what secrets your own neighbors are hiding… For fans of The Girl on the Train, The Woman in the Window and Gone Girl.

“No one was ever meant to see her at…214 Palmer Street”

With its intriguing title, striking cover and interesting premise, I was immediately drawn to this book. Who is Sarah and what is she hiding are the million dollar questions and I couldn’t wait to find out!

These questions are answered as the story unfolds via multiple points of views, which gives the reader a great insight into not only who Sarah really is, but also the other characters and where they fit in with the story.

There is plenty of tension and suspense throughout and whilst I did find the pace moved on the slightly slower side to start with, it really kicks in around the half way mark.

Some of the twists were quiet predicable, but there were still some unexpected surprises overall making 214 Palmer Street an entertaining read.

Thank you to Karen McQuestion, Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of 214 Palmer Street, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble if available.
