Today I am taking part in the books on tour and reviewing The Killer’s Family by Miranda Smith. This was released on the 31st of March, published by Bookouture.
We should never have kept our father’s secret.
Before, my sisters and I were close. Now, a year after our father’s funeral, we barely speak to each other. Molly won’t accept the truth. Rachel can’t forgive him. And I spend all my time digging through his life, trying to understand.
Then we hear the news. A woman has been found by the docks, her wedding ring stolen. The reporter says it appears the local serial killer has returned…
But I know that can’t be right, because I know who the killer was.
Henry Martin. Our father.
Someone is sending us a message. Someone knows we lied.
Now my sisters and I must work together to find out who is targeting us. How do they know what we’ve hidden? What do they want? And what other secrets lie buried in the past, putting us all in danger?
A brilliantly twisty suspense thriller that will have you flying through the pages and gasping at the twist. Fans of Lisa Jewell, Gillian Flynn and Ruth Ware will love The Killer’s Family.
“We thought he was a good man…We were wrong…”
What would you do if you found out that your father was a prolific serial killer?
I absolutely love Miranda’s Smith’s books and The Killer’s Family is no exception! Hooked immediately, between you, who are reading this review and I, I even cancelled some plans so I could keep reading this! 😱😱
Fabulously dark, Smith has created a tale that I think is her best yet. A fast paced thrilling rollercoaster ride full of secrets, lies and suspense, makes this such a gripping read. I loved the multiple points of view from each of the sisters and how each reacted to learning of their father’s terrifying secret after his death, which in turn fractures their once sisterly bond.
Perfectly plotted, written and executed, The Killer’s Family is such a compelling read with a twist that left me with my jaw hanging on the ground and one hell of a book hangover. If there is one book you need to read this year, this is the one!
Thank you to Miranda Smith, Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of The Killer’s Family, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble if available. As I am from Australia, I am unable to add to Amazon UK, but will post to Waterstones & Foyles if also available.
