Reputation by Sarah Vaughan #BookReview #Reputation #PoliticalThriller #NetGalley @SVaughanAuthor @SimonSchusterAU #onceuponatimebookreviews

Today I am reviewing on its publication day Reputation by Sarah Vaughan, published by Simon & Schuster.

Reputation: it takes a lifetime to build and just one moment to destroy.

Emma Webster is a respectable MP.

Emma Webster is a devoted mother.

Emma Webster is innocent of the murder of a tabloid journalist.

Emma Webster is a liar.

#Reputation: The story you tell about yourself. And the lies others choose to believe…

Confession time…I have not had the privilege as yet of reading Anatomy of a Scandal (I know unbelievable right!) so with Reputation being my first book from Vaughan, I was excited to dive in after only hearing great things about her books.

Reputation is a delightfully wicked political thriller that is a slow burn to begin with, but when it gets going you just can’t put it down! The writing is engaging and fluid, its characters well drawn and complex and it is completely addictive, intense and so very compelling.

All round this is such and entertaining read that I just loved. Make sure that you don’t let this one pass you by!

Thank you to Sarah Vaughan, Simon & Schuster and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Reputation, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble if available. As I am from Australia, I am unable to add to Amazon UK, but will post to Waterstones & Foyles if also available.

I’m a former Guardian journalist – news reporter and political correspondent – who always wanted to write fiction.

My 3rd novel, Anatomy of a Scandal, was an instant international bestseller, a top 5 Sunday Times bestseller, number 1 in the Kindle charts, and was picked by Richard & Judy as one of the 12 best novels of the last 10 years. Translated into 23 languages, it will drop on Netflix on April 15 in a six-part mini-series created by David E Kelley and Melissa James Gibson, and starring Sienna Miller, Michelle Dockery, and Rupert Friend.

My 4th novel, Little Disasters was a Waterstone’s thriller of the month, has been published in various countries, and is currently being adapted for TV. My fifth novel, Reputation, is out on March 3, 2022 and has also been optioned. I live with my family and dog near Cambridge.
