Today I am reviewing on its publication day Every Little Secret by Sarah Clarke, published by HQ Digital.
From the outside, it seems Grace has it all. Only she knows about the cracks in her picture-perfect life… and the huge secret behind them. After all, who can she trust?
Her brother Josh is thousands of miles away, and he and Grace have never been close – he was always their parents’ favourite.
Her best friend Coco walked away from her years ago, their friendship irreparably fractured by the choices they’ve made.
And her husband Marcus seems like a different man lately. Grace can’t shake the feeling that he’s hiding something.
But when her seven-year-old daughter makes a troubling accusation, Grace must choose between protecting her child and protecting her secret… before she loses everything.
A totally addictive suspense novel from the bestselling author of A Mother Never Lies, perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell and Shalini Boland.
I throughly enjoyed this gripping, intense, and addictive tale with its harrowing dilemma that took me on an emotional journey where I was so conflicted as to who was telling the truth or caught up in a lie.
Multiple points of view and different timelines transition seamlessly and keep things interesting, its characters are well formed and have you questioning and second guessing them which I enjoyed.
The twists, turns and outcome took me by surprise and definitely had the WOW factor. It is very well written and executed.
My first book from Sarah Clarke was a great reading experience and I look forward to reading more from her.
Thank you to Sarah Clarke, HQ Digital and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Every Little Secret, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
This review will be added to, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon Australia & Amazon US. I will also add to NetGalley, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble if available. As I am from Australia, I am unable to add to Amazon UK, but will post to Waterstones & Foyles if also available.
Lets Get to Know Sarah Clarke
Sarah Clarke is a copywriter and lives in London, UK with her family. In 2018 she enrolled on a course with Faber Academy and fell in love with fiction, particularly the dark and twisty kind. Sarah signed a 3-book deal with Harper Collins HQ Digital in March 2021 and is currently writing her third novel, which is also set in south west London.
Sarah has always been intrigued by the human psyche. What makes people who they are? How do family and social influences affect human behaviour? This curiosity fuels both her copywriting, and her psychological thrillers.
Sarah lives in London with her husband, 2 teenagers and crazy cockapoo. After doing 5 ski seasons in her 20s, she ‘slopes’ off to the French Alps whenever she can. She is also planning on running a marathon to mark her 50th birthday. Watch this space!
