Today I am reviewing on its publication day The Woman Next Door by Natasha Boydell, published by Bloodhound Books.

Book Description

Two neighbours struggle with envy of each other’s lives—and as their friendship grows, their questions do too…
Sophie is a happily married mum of two who considers herself lucky—until her beautiful and highly successful new neighbour Angie moves in along with her charming husband and four talented children. The two women couldn’t be more different, but after a storm brings them together, an unlikely friendship develops. As their children grow closer, so does their bond.
But the alliance between the families is a wake-up call for both women. Angie’s success makes Sophie consider whether she really is as satisfied as she makes out. And Sophie’s uncomplicated marriage forces Angie to look at her own and accept that it’s not as perfect as it seems. Both women vow to change.
But their decisions may not lead where they expect, in this absorbing novel about risks and relationships by the author of The Missing Husband that explores whether the grass is always greener on the other side of the garden fence…

“A storm brought them together…Life will tear them apart…”

The Woman Next Door, the second novel from Natasha Boydell, is a domestic drama that follows the lives of neighbours Sophie, Angie and their respective families. An engrossing tale, it explores whether the grass is greener on the other side of the garden fence!

I really enjoyed this book and I am thrilled to have another new author to read. Very well plotted and written, it had me addicted right from the outset and connected to the style of writing and its execution. It took me hostage and had me caught in its glorious tangled web as friendships and relationships are put to the test.

I love these types of stories and Boydell has reinforced why I do. A great storyline that is perfectly paced and with a cast of characters that bring the story to life so well, you will be missing out if you don’t add this one to your reading list! You definitely won’t be disappointed and I for one can’t wait to read more from her. Please don’t keep us waiting too long…

Thank you to Natasha Boydell and Bloodhound Books for allowing me to read an advance copy of The Woman Next Door, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
