Today I am reviewing on its publication day The Lies He Told by Valerie Keogh, published by Bloodhound Books.
How much do you trust your partner?
One cheating man. Four angry women. One crime of passion.
Successful Misty is happy living with her perfect boyfriend until he tells her he is leaving.
Elegant Gwen is excited about the new man in her life until she discovers he’s been lying to her.
Angry Babs has the love of her life lured away, first by Misty then by Gwen, and she wants revenge.
Long-suffering Dee is a wife who takes her wandering husband back every single time.
When the lives of these four women collide, the results are deadly.
One thing is for certain, the consequences of lying will be murder…
The Lies He Told is a gripping psychological thriller full of twists and turns which will keep you guessing until the very end. It’s the perfect read for readers of domestic noir, as well as for fans of authors like Louise Jensen, B A Paris and K.L. Slater.
Valerie Keogh is also the bestselling author of the psychological thrillers The Three Women, The Deadly Truth, The Perfect Life & The Little Lies.
‘One cheating man. Four angry women. One crime of passion”
You can always count on Valerie Keogh to give her reader a thrilling story and she has once again delivered on this with The Lies He Told. This is one wicked read that I quickly devoured in one sitting and I’m sure you will too!
You know what makes a story better than one scorned woman, four women scorned that’s what! Valerie Keogh brings to the table four women each who have fallen under the spell of one manipulative money hungry sociopath who’s cheating days just may well be up.
The story is told from the points of view of Misty, Gwen, Babs and Dee and we learn of each of their relationships with the cheating Toby. When he goes missing, all the women become a suspect and Valerie does a great job of giving the reader the run around as to who could be involved.
The Lies He Told is a gripping and very entertaining psychological thriller and is Valerie Keogh at her absolute best. We plotted, written and with twists and turns aplenty, this book is one hell of a cracking read and I absolutely loved it!
