Today I am reviewing All the Little Lies by Chris Curran. This was released on the 15th of February, published by One More Chapter.
Book Blurb
After a lifetime of secrets how far would you go for the truth?
An unputdownable new psychological thriller, full of twists you won’t see coming, from Chris Curran.
Your whole life has been a lie…
One email is all it takes to turn Eve’s world upside down. It contains a picture of her true birth mother, Stella, and proves that Eve’s entire life with her adoptive parents has been a lie.
Now she must unravel the mystery of Stella’s dark past. But what Eve finds will force her to take enormous risks, which put her – and her new-born baby – in immediate danger…
A great read with a twist that I did not see coming! This is the first book I have read from Chris Curran and it won’t be the last. I was hooked from the start and I was caught between wanting to find out the answers but also not wanting it to end. So many twists and turns as well as lies and deceit kept me gripped until the end.
An email from a friend to the main character Eve, who was adopted not long after her birth, sparks this whole journey when she sends Eve a link to a story on an artist named Stella Carr who bears a remarkable resemblance to herself. Confronting her adoptive parents, she soon comes to the realisation that her life with them has been a lie.
Chris tells the story through a dual narrative, which I enjoyed, giving the reader insight into Stella’s life then taking us back to Jill’s life in the present day where she tries to put together all of the pieces. But with so many lies and deceit being uncovered who is Jill to believe?
The more that she discovers, the more she could be putting her life as well as her new born baby’s in danger.
This is a great psychological thriller that I highly recommend.
